Lessons and Leasing

Whether you are just starting lessons or are ready to lease a horse full time, we have a variety of options to fit your needs.

Lessons and leasing

Our 'Why'

In training with Juliane (affectionately known as 'Jules'), students learn about the whole horse, including basic case and handling, tacking up, horse behavior+training, and excellent riding skills.

Students will gain valuable and enjoyable life lessons that can only be achieved through riding. They will build confidence, discipline, responsibility, and form lifelong bonds with both the horses and their fellow riders.

Lessons

Lessons are 45 minutes in length, and the instructor will choose your horse for that lesson unless you have your own horse or lease a horse. This applies for group, semi private, and private lessons. Riders must wear a helmet, with hair pulled away from their face (pony tail or bun for longer hair). Shoes with a slight heel are required (fan favorite for our beginner riders). Safety vest recommended.

Getting Started

Before joining a group lesson, we require your child to start with a one-on-one session to understand where your child's comfort is around horsemanship and riding skills. You can expect 15-20 minutes of grooming and tacking up, 30 minutes of riding in our arena, and 15 minutes to untack and turn out the pony in your first session. We will follow up with next steps after your first lesson.

You and the instructor may decide that your student would benefit from weekly beginner lunge line lessons (60 minutes, private or semi private) before moving into group lessons. $225/mo.

We do expect riders to independently halter and tack up their horse when enrolling in a group lesson.

Leasing

Ready to build a deeper horse+rider partnership?  Our leasing options may be a great next step for you.  Leasing is dependent on availability of horses and rider ability. Instructor approval required.

Leasing a horse gives you the opportunity to ride that horse on assigned lease day, further building your partnership and skillset beyond the lesson. You are also guaranteed a lesson horse when you lease, even if your leased horse is lame or otherwise unable to be ridden during your regularly scheduled lesson.

We offer three lease options, upon availability of your preferred equine companion. Note that lesson fees are in addition to this lease rate.

1-day Lease: $200/mo

2-day Lease: $400/mo

Full Lease: Inquire in person.

Boarding

Whether you are part of the riding school or not, you may find our boarding program a good fit for your equine family member. Keep in mind our boarder barn and paddocks are generally full, but we are happy to add you to our wait list should space become available.  Rates vary based on services provided (full service stall with turnout vs paddock boarding, etc). Inquire within.
